USE THE RIGHT WATER
There’s something else you can do to make a better coffee: use the right water.
Running clearwater through the machine helps keep the machine clean and in good conditions, therefore improving the quality of the coffee.
One thing that can make all the difference, however, is the kind of water you use.
Before using your tap water, check its characteristics, especially hardness and limestone percentage. You can find the ideal water characteristics for making good coffee by consulting the reference chart provided by the SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association of America): https://www.scaa.org/?page=resources&d=water-standards.
Besides, over time, a very hard water could clog the 4 micro holes of your WayCap capsule.
If the holes are clogged with limestone deposits, you can use a small-eyed sewing needle to unclog them. With some practice you’ll become more experienced and your palate will be able to tell you which water and which blends are your favorites.
